Copper Tongue Cleaner - Double Handle

$14.00

A pure copper tongue cleaner with two handles and a wide U-shaped scraping edge to cover the full width of your tongue in a single, steady pass.

Where the single-handle tongue scraper uses a narrower edge for precise, targeted scraping, the double-handle design takes the opposite approach. The wider edge spans the tongue from side to side, and the two-handed grip distributes pressure evenly across the entire surface. One stroke covers what the single handle does in two or three.

Hold one handle in each hand. Place the curved edge at the back of the tongue. Draw it forward in one smooth, controlled movement. The two-point grip keeps the angle consistent and the pressure balanced, there is no tilting, no uneven contact, no need to adjust mid-stroke. For people who prefer a gentler approach or have a sensitive gag reflex, this level of control makes the practice noticeably more comfortable.

First thing in the morning, before brushing, before eating, before drinking.

  1. Hold one handle in each hand
  2. Extend your tongue and place the U-shaped edge as far back as is comfortable
  3. Draw the cleaner gently forward in one smooth stroke, from back to front
  4. Rinse under running water
  5. Repeat five to seven times, until the tongue feels clean and the visible coating is removed

Keep even, light pressure on both handles. Let the width of the edge do the work, there is no need to press hard or repeat the same area multiple times.

After scraping, move to step two of Dantacharya: oil pulling with Arimedadi Thailam.

Rinse under running water after each use. Copper will naturally develop a patina over time, this does not affect function or hygiene. To restore the original shine, rub occasionally with a paste of lemon juice and salt, rinse, and dry.

Do not use abrasive scrubbers. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

What Tongue Scraping Does

The coating that forms on your tongue overnight is called Ama in Ayurveda, accumulated residue from digestion and metabolic activity during sleep. Jihwa Prakshalana removes it first thing in the morning, before brushing, before eating, before drinking anything.

Removes Ama — Lifts the coating before it is reabsorbed back into the body.

Freshens breath at the source — Most oral odour originates on the tongue, not the teeth. Removing the cause is more effective than masking it.

Sharpens taste — A coated tongue cannot taste properly. After scraping, food tastes clearer and more distinct.

A daily health reading — The thickness, color, and location of the coating reflect your digestion, hydration, and balance. You start to notice the patterns.
